VEPR’s Chinese Economic Studies Program (VCES) is an intensive research program on issues related to the Chinese economy, directly under the Vietnam Centre for Economic and Policy Research (VEPR), University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The Program has the following objectives:
1. Synthesize and build data sources on the Chinese economy; provide information, update and forecast China’s economic situation;
2. Perform studies on the Chinese economy, including basic studies and policy studies;
3. Consulate policy in the Economic Affairs of China and Vietnam economic relations – China.
Tentative products of the Program include: (1) Periodic reports on the Chinese macroeconomic situation; (2) Chinese Annual Economic Report; (3) Research projects and programs related to the Chinese economy in relation to the region and impacts on Vietnam; (4) Thematic reports on China’s outstanding economic-political-social issues and implications for Vietnam; (5) Domestic and international scientific conferences aimed at creating a forum for researchers and policy makers to exchange and discuss, as well as give recommendations for Vietnam in the economic-political relationship with China, (6) Courses, training programs and consulting reports related to the Chinese economy.
